We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Technical Writer to join our team in the greater DMV area, specifically supporting the Army National Guard. In this role, you will be the bridge between complex technical engineering and clear, actionable documentation. You will work at the heart of our mission to ensure that critical information is accurate, compliant, and accessible to diverse audiences.
Your day will involve collaborating with Program Management Offices (PMO), engineers, cybersecurity experts, developers, and trainers to validate content and incorporate technical changes. You will be responsible for maintaining structured, version-controlled knowledge repositories and libraries, ensuring that course materials, job aids, and training manuals are always up to date. Whether capturing gaps during transition operations or supporting audits and RMF evidence, your work ensures that our programs run smoothly and securely.

Prior DoD/Army/ARNG or classified program documentation experience. Experience with schema/taxonomy, metadata application, and documentation automation/tooling (Markdown, DITA, MadCap, RoboHelp). Familiarity with RMF/RMF evidence packaging and audit support.
