DIRECTV is seeking a Technical Product Manager - Principal 1 to join our Digital Products team. In this role, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for defining, delivering, and evolving our online service products to support critical business and IT objectives. You will act as the vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating high-level business goals into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management fundamentals with a deep technical understanding of the Online platform, including configuration, integrations, data models, and release management. You will drive the strategic direction of functional areas by converting priorities into a multi-quarter roadmap and a well-managed backlog. Your day-to-day involves partnering with cross-functional leaders, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the organization meets its targets and IOP goals. You will own features within an Agile Release Train (ART), managing dependencies and ensuring rigorous requirements traceability at the solution level.
You will spend your time conducting impact and feasibility analyses to shape trade-offs, using data and feedback loops to drive measurable outcomes. Your work involves collaborating closely with Developers, Architects, and QA teams to deliver solutions end-to-end. You will facilitate strategic discussions to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, communicating complex product concepts to executive leadership. From PI Planning sessions to refining quarterly plans, you will ensure alignment between business needs and technical execution while balancing short-term delivery with long-term vision.
