About the Role
The VP, Engineering Cloud Agile Lead serves as a strategic orchestrator for Synchrony's Engineering Cloud Migration journey. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex technical migration initiatives and the agile delivery frameworks that power them. You will coordinate multiple Scrum and Kanban teams alongside testing resources, ensuring that cross-team dependencies are managed and program risks are mitigated effectively.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and business leaders to drive the roadmap forward. Your day-to-day involves leading Program Increment planning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and providing technical guidance on cloud platforms and migration tools. You will be instrumental in designing Data Center Extension strategies that enable hybrid cloud environments while ensuring strict adherence to financial sector regulatory requirements and security policies.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree and 10+ years of Technology experience or equivalent leadership program experience or in lieu of degree, High School/GED and 15+ years of IT experience
- verifiedStrong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- verifiedProven experience in Data Center Extension and hybrid cloud architecture design
- verifiedExperience and knowledge working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
- verifiedJira and Jira Align experience
- verifiedAbility to understand technical requirements of projects and effectively manage resources, vendors and test efforts
- verifiedProven track record of leading and executing on critical business initiatives on-time and within budget
- verifiedSAFe Certified Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer (Desired)
- verifiedPrior work experience in the financial services industry

SAFe Certified Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer. Creativity, enthusiasm, and energy with a strong customer 'can do' attitude and result-oriented mindset. Prior work experience in the financial services industry with a clear understanding of related regulatory and security requirements. Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization in cloud environments. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
