About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students during our Summer Transition Program. This position serves as a vital bridge between academic learning and real-world application, working alongside Summer Camp Instructors to provide hands-on guidance both in the classroom and within the broader community.
In this role, you will help students build essential academic, social, career, and independent living skills. Your primary focus will be on encouraging confidence and active participation in daily activities, fostering an environment where young adults can thrive as they prepare for college, work, and independent living. You will be instrumental in adapting learning materials into accessible formats, including large print, Braille, and tactile graphics, ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent
- verifiedValid NJ driver's license with no more than 5 points
- verifiedAbility to pass state and federal background checks
- verifiedAbility to pass drug screenings
Nice to Have
Currently pursuing a degree in Special Education, Visual Impairment, or related fields. One year of experience supporting transition-aged youth (high school through young adulthood).
