At Dunbar College Prep Academy, we are dedicated to fostering the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth of every student. As a Middle School Teacher and Coach, you will serve as a vital link in our PreK-12 community, helping students fulfill their potential and develop the competencies needed to function successfully in society.
This role is designed for an educator who thrives in a dynamic environment where academic rigor meets personal mentorship. You will not only deliver core science instruction but also guide students through extracurricular activities, serving as a positive role model who supports the district's mission. Your day will involve crafting inclusive lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles, collaborating with special education colleagues to ensure every student's needs are met, and building strong, open lines of communication with parents and the broader community.
As a coach, you will extend your influence beyond the classroom, supervising and sponsoring approved outside activities that contribute to the holistic development of our students. You will work cooperatively with staff to determine instructional goals, manage classroom environments conducive to learning, and utilize technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process.
We are committed to creating a school culture where integrity, work ethic, and professionalism are modeled daily. We believe in managing district resources effectively to maximize opportunities for student learning and actively participate in ongoing development to improve our collective contribution. All employees are expected to align their work with the district's mission, vision, and beliefs, ensuring that every interaction reflects our shared values.
