At Dyess Elementary, we are dedicated to nurturing the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth of every student. As an Elementary Teacher, you will serve as a vital partner in helping students fulfill their potential and develop the competencies needed to function successfully in society. This role is designed for an educator who is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where diverse learning styles are understood and celebrated.
Your day-to-day impact involves more than just delivering curriculum; it is about fostering a classroom culture that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical and emotional development of our young learners. You will collaborate closely with special education teachers, instructional aides, and the broader staff to ensure that every student, including those with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), receives the tailored support necessary to thrive. From planning engaging lessons that reflect district standards to serving as a positive role model and sponsor for extracurricular activities, your influence extends throughout the school community.
Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsements for the assigned subject and level. Physical Education candidates must also possess a current automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate. We are looking for individuals with at least one year of student teaching or approved internship experience, along with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
