About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Math Teacher for Murphy Middle School to join our Grades 6-8 department. In this role, you will serve as a vital guide for students, fostering an environment that supports their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth. Your mission is to bring the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum to life, ensuring every student develops a strong foundation in mathematics while mastering essential literacy and problem-solving skills.
As a Math Teacher, your day-to-day involves more than just delivering lessons; you will craft learning experiences that connect abstract concepts to real-world applications. You will utilize inquiry-based strategies and technology to engage students, helping them set personal goals and take ownership of their academic journey. From organizing a classroom that maximizes time on task to collaborating with colleagues and families, you will be a central figure in building a culture of mutual respect and high achievement.
