Join the Floyd Elementary School team for the 2026-2027 school year as an Elementary Teacher. In this full-time, exempt position, you will serve as a vital link in our educational mission, dedicated to maximizing student achievement through effective instructional planning and implementation.
Your day will be defined by creating a classroom environment that is not only conducive to learning but also responsive to the unique maturity, interests, and abilities of every student. You will guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and media tailored to the physical and developmental needs of your class.
Beyond the classroom, this role emphasizes collaboration and community. You will work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and maintain open lines of communication with parents. As a professional, you are expected to engage in ongoing professional growth, participate in district-approved evaluations, and actively contribute to campus and district meetings to foster mutual decision-making among staff.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with appropriate state certification for the subject and level assigned. While no prior experience is required beyond certification from an accredited teacher preparation program, the Administration reserves the right to accept alternative qualifications deemed appropriate.
