About the Role
This position serves as a Radiologic Technologist within the Diagnostic Imaging department, performing radiographic examinations on patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. The role is critical to maintaining the efficient operation of the department and ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. In addition to clinical duties, the incumbent may be required to perform receptionist responsibilities as needed.
Location & Housing Context
This opportunity is based in Bethel, AK. Please note that private housing is not provided; all housing consists of shared units, and pets are not permitted. Airfare is initially paid by the candidate or the agency and will be reimbursed upon arrival in Bethel.
Onboarding & Travel Requirements
Candidates must coordinate closely with the recruitment team to ensure a smooth transition. Flight itineraries must be submitted to ykhcrecruitment@ykhc.org at least one week in advance to facilitate scheduling for New Employee Orientation, housing, and other logistics. Orientation classes are held exclusively on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please note that returning travelers are not picked up by the organization.
Important: Travelers are not permitted to travel until all credentials have been received and cleared by the YKHC recruiter. To proceed with onboarding, the following information and documents are required:
- Personal Details: Physical address, email, phone number, date of birth, and Social Security Number.
- Immunizations: Proof of Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, and Polio (or titers/historical records). Candidates unable to provide these will not be accepted.
- Documentation: Copy of Photo ID, SSN card, professional license/certification, and education transcripts.
- Background Checks: National and criminal background checks, a 10-panel drug screen (within the last 90 days), OIG report for all alias names, SAM report for all alias names, National Sex Offender registry search for all alias names, OHSA report, and OFAC report.
- Additional: Fit test or physical results, emergency contact information, and three professional references.
Candidates submitted by multiple agencies will be automatically rejected.
