As a Full-Time X-Ray Technologist at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT, you will operate equipment and perform radiological examinations to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This role is vital for producing technically excellent images that guide patient care. You will work within a collaborative team environment, ensuring proper patient positioning, preparing contrast media, and maintaining a safe, orderly workspace.
Your day will involve performing diagnostic radiography studies by selecting correct exposure factors based on patient age and diagnosis. You may also participate in complex invasive radiological procedures, assisting radiologists to provide essential therapeutic and diagnostic services. Beyond clinical duties, you will maintain equipment, manage patient flow, and ensure accurate data entry into PACS and RIS systems. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, fostering the next generation of radiologic professionals.
