Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders
- check_circlePosition and immobilize patients safely to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing discomfort
- check_circleApply radiation safety measures and ALARA principles for patients, self, and staff
- check_circleVerify patient identity, review exam orders, and ensure accurate documentation and labeling of images
- check_circleOperate radiographic equipment including digital and portable X-ray units and utilize PACS/RIS systems
- check_circleAssist with contrast studies and support radiologists during specialized procedures within scope of practice
- check_circleMonitor patients during and after procedures, recognizing and reporting changes in condition promptly
- check_circleMaintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment following infection prevention standards
- check_circlePerform routine equipment checks, recognize malfunctions, and coordinate appropriate service notifications
- check_circleCollaborate with nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient-centered care
- check_circleParticipate in orientation of new staff or students and engage in ongoing education and competency assessments
- check_circleContribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and workflow efficiency initiatives within the imaging department
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent ARRT (R) certification or registry-eligible
- verifiedGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- verifiedValid Ohio state radiologic technologist license
- verifiedCurrent BLS/CPR certification
- verifiedExperience with PACS/RIS and EMR systems preferred
- verifiedPrior acute-care or hospital radiology experience preferred
