BAE Systems has supported the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) since the program's inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System, a defense system critical to national security. For over six decades, we have maintained and upgraded this system, which serves as the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad and accounts for over 70% of the nation's nuclear arsenal.
As a decades-long sole source partner, our program offers remarkable stability alongside significant growth. This unique environment provides ample opportunity for professional development for capable individuals who understand they are part of an important legacy. The program is projected to remain operational through 2084, spanning a total life cycle of more than 120 years.
BAE Systems Intelligence & Security (I&S), based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions. Our team is dedicated to improving the future and protecting lives by using passion and ingenuity to defend national security with breakthrough technology. Knowing that our work enables the U.S. military and government to recognize, manage, and defeat threats inspires us to push our technologies to new levels.
