About the Role
This senior-level position serves as a key member of the Project Management Office within the Governor's Technology Office, located in Carson City. The role is designed for an experienced IT Project Manager responsible for overseeing multiple high-visibility, enterprise-level initiatives alongside smaller, targeted projects.
As a central figure in the agency's technology strategy, you will lead stakeholder meetings and facilitate the creation of essential project artifacts, including charters, project plans, risk registers, and status reports. The position requires a proactive approach to managing project changes through established control procedures, analyzing data to identify schedule risks and budget variances, and ensuring resource conflicts are resolved before they impact delivery.
Depending on the specific assignment, you may also serve as a technical leader within the Enterprise IT Services (EITS) Division, providing technology planning and consultation to other state agencies. This includes assessing agency needs, guiding the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, and recommending cost-effective technical solutions to ensure viable, enterprise-wide technology implementation.
