This Network Engineer III position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work on complex telecommunications applications involving all phases of network design, implementation, and analysis. You will be responsible for the research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local- and wide-area network hardware, software, and applications. Your day-to-day will involve installing and configuring WAN and LAN hardware, including voice, video, and data cable systems, while developing system specifications, architecture designs, and integration test plans.
In this role, you will coordinate system maintenance and monitoring across multiple specializations and platforms. You will assist in the research and implementation of enterprise-wide network solutions to support customer business goals, evaluate network health and performance, and develop roadmaps for future capabilities. A key part of your responsibilities includes supporting network traffic analysis, bandwidth optimization, and evaluating emerging technologies to enhance capacity and reliability. You will also represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies and perform site surveys for new installations and technology refreshes.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position requires the ability to work independently with little direction and the flexibility to work weekends and evening hours as needed. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations to senior or executive management.
