We are currently hiring for multiple Registered Nurse (RN) PRN positions across various shifts at our Houston Methodist Campus in the Texas Medical Center. This role is designed for experienced clinicians functioning at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice.
As an RN PRN, you will provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting assessments, assisting with exams and treatments, and managing medical records. You will collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care. This position requires you to act as a patient and family advocate, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to manage complex needs and emergencies.
Beyond direct patient care, this role offers opportunities for leadership and growth. You may assume progressive responsibilities such as serving as a charge nurse, precepting students or new employees, and participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives.
