This position requires an on-site presence in Lansing, MI. The ideal candidate will live within one hour of Lansing. The standard schedule includes mandatory in-office workdays on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, requiring 8 hours per day in the office with no exceptions. During the first month of employment, the role will be fully on-site (5 days per week) to facilitate comprehensive onboarding.
About the Role
The System Analyst 3 operates as a vital member of an Agile team, serving as a bridge between business needs and technical execution. This role is defined by a heavy reliance on the Azure DevOps toolset, where the analyst acts as the ScrumMaster to coordinate project artifacts and documentation for State of Michigan projects. Working alongside the PMO's Project Manager, the analyst ensures seamless collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In this capacity, you will examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems to guide the gathering of clear, unambiguous business requirements. Your expertise will be essential in translating complex business needs into technical specifications for development teams and communicating system functionality to the user community. The role demands a deep understanding of the interplay between Business Analyst, Quality Assurance, and Development responsibilities to effectively execute test cases and validate that delivered solutions meet quality standards.
