About the Role
This position serves as a unique hybrid of Business Analyst and Quality Assurance functions, designed to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution. The System Analyst 3 will be instrumental in defining product direction through the creation of Epics, Features, and User Stories, while simultaneously ensuring quality through rigorous testing lifecycles. This role exists to drive process improvements by analyzing 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' workflows and translating complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and test scenarios.
Day in the Life
You will operate within an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams. Your day will involve facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing work items in Azure DevOps or JIRA, and utilizing tools like Figma or Visio to visualize process flows. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to the full testing lifecycle, including creating test plans, performing functional and integration testing, and tracking defects to resolution. You will also support system demonstrations and production validation to ensure the final deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
Hiring Process & Location Requirements
This is a local, hybrid opportunity based in Lansing, MI. Candidates must reside within one hour of Lansing, as remote work is not an option. The role requires onsite presence every Tuesday and Wednesday, with a mandatory five-day onsite week during the first month for onboarding. An in-person interview is required for all candidates.
Contract Details
This is an 18+ month contract position. We are seeking individuals who possess a dual background in both Business Analysis and Quality Assurance, with a strong command of the BA, QA, and development lifecycle processes.
