At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we promote a challenging, yet rewarding opportunity within a caring environment. Our mission is to provide compassionate care, ensuring that every resident receives the highest quality of support in a supportive setting.
As a Support Nurse (LPN) at Liberty Commons, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team. You will assist nursing personnel, including the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing, to assure the best possible patient care on your assigned unit. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide resident care in strict accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical and administrative duties. You will assist with new admissions, including initial nursing assessments, and manage records and orders. A key part of your responsibility includes delegating duties to non-licensed personnel and monitoring their performance. You will also collaborate with other departments to implement needs for the unit, such as infection control measures and decubitus monitoring.
In emergency situations, you will be prepared to perform CPR and coordinate with the broader healthcare team. You will also assist in Quality Assurance data collection, lab requests, and notifying attending physicians of any changes in patient status. This role requires the ability to make critical decisions regarding nursing and unit problems while working effectively under pressure.
Candidates selected for an interview will undergo a background check as part of our drug-free workplace policy. For more information about our organization, please visit www.libertyhealthcareandrehab.com.
