This position serves to assist teachers in the preparation and management of classroom activities while providing dedicated support to students receiving Special Education Services. The role is defined by collaboration with all staff to foster a supportive learning environment.
You will work across various educational settings, providing instructional support to small groups or individual students. A key part of your day involves implementing behavior management systems aligned with campus expectations and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). You will supervise students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, and in community settings.
Your responsibilities include guiding students through daily activities, which may involve monitoring personal hygiene, dress, eating habits, and behavior. After completing required district training, you may assist with personal care services such as lifting, feeding, and cleaning for students who require them. You will also assist in collecting data and preparing instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
This role requires the ability to maintain emotional control under stress and make objective decisions during crisis conditions. Physically, the position involves frequent moderate activity including sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and repetitive hand motions. Occasional tasks may include lifting or carrying moderate weights (15-44 pounds) and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Employment with Clear Creek ISD is contingent upon passing a background check and fingerprinting. Candidates must have an acceptable criminal history. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with children of all disability categories.
