The Student Pathways Coordinator (Dual Enrollment & Transfer) is a pivotal member of the Admissions team at Blackfeet Community College (BFCC). This position is dedicated to supporting the growth, persistence, and successful transitions of dual enrollment and transfer students through strategic enrollment practices and student-centered services. The role enhances academic planning, strengthens transfer pathways, and improves access to higher education opportunities, directly contributing to increased enrollment and student success at the college.
As a primary point of contact for dual enrollment and transfer students, the Coordinator provides accurate and timely information regarding admissions, transfer requirements, and degree pathways. The role serves as a bridge between incoming students with prior college credit and four-year institutions or other programs, ensuring seamless experiences from entry through completion or transition.
A key component of this position is its partnership with the American Indian College Fund's Cultivating Native Student Success initiative. The Coordinator works to support grant goals, strengthen transfer initiatives, and improve outcomes specifically for Native students. Success in this role requires close collaboration with faculty, staff, Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and regional and national partners to advance transfer pathways and meet institutional enrollment goals.
This is a classified, regular full-time position (12 months, 26 pay periods) funded by a grant. The work is performed almost exclusively indoors in a controlled climate area with a usually quiet noise level. The role involves frequent keyboarding and requires the ability to walk, stand, and sit at a desk, with occasional lifting of books, equipment, and miscellaneous materials.
Travel is a requirement for this position, encompassing both in-state and out-of-state trips to support recruitment, outreach, and partnership development. The nature of the work may involve infrequent periods of modest stress due to workload and timelines. The Coordinator will have contact with personnel across all departments, students, the Board of Trustees, Blackfeet Tribal departments, and various related entities to conduct day-to-day business operations.
Candidates for this position will be guided by the Position Description, Admissions Policy & Procedure Manual, BCC Policies and Procedures Manual, and all applicable tribal, federal, and special policies, laws, rules, and regulations. The role is also aligned with the American Indian College Fund CNSS goals and grant guidelines.

The American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) operates within the education administration sector and is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. Established in 1972 by six tribally controlled colleges, the organization now serves as a vital support network for 34 accredited Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) alongside three developing institutions across the United States. Each member institution is chartered by its own tribal government to deliver higher education opportunities that are locally rooted, culturally based, holistic, and supportive for American Indian communities.
AIHEC facilitates collaboration among these colleges to influence federal and public policy regarding American Indian and Alaska Native higher education. The consortium provides technical assistance in key operational areas, fosters networking with federal agencies and potential partners, and offers mentorship to emerging institutions. Through advocacy, research, and programmatic initiatives, the organization addresses evolving needs in the sector while promoting and strengthening Indigenous languages, cultures, communities, and lands. Its unique position allows it to serve both established member institutions and new TCUs as they work to expand access to quality education.
