About the Role
The Structural Mechanic III in GAC Savannah operates within a team-oriented environment, performing complex structural repairs on primary and secondary aircraft structures with little to no supervision. This role is critical for ensuring that all work conforms to company design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
In this position, you will serve as an expert in sheet metal processes, including cutting, bending, forming, drilling, countersinking, and precision riveting. You will be responsible for repairing and fabricating structural components to blueprint and engineering specifications while completing detailed documentation for inspections, repairs, and component replacements. Beyond technical execution, you will assist and instruct other team members in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders, developing methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties.
