About the Role
Based in Round Rock, TX, this Strategic Planning Professional opportunity offers a unique chance to grow alongside Emerson's executive leadership team. You will serve as a strategic partner, developing and executing growth and change management strategies that span the entire global Systems and Solutions organization. From technology and sales to marketing, operations, and supply chain, this role ensures strong connectivity across all business functions.
You will work closely with complimentary planning roles at the Enterprise level to drive effective business decisions. The position is designed for individuals who understand how organizations make money and how to articulate credible visions of possibilities that create sustainable value. You will be expected to readily action new challenges, draw upon multiple relationships to exchange ideas, and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
Day in the Life
Your work will center on the Emerson Planning Process, participating in major management events such as board meetings, quarterly business reviews, strategy reviews, and value creation conferences. You will collaborate with staff to develop long-range objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external issues affecting growth, including macroeconomic trends and market positions.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to analyzing market intelligence. You will work with regional and production teams to collect, aggregate, and analyze data on trends, presenting results to the executive team. You will also create and maintain quantitative models to track competitive participation and evaluate business performance across product lines to optimize global profitability. Additionally, you will support the recruitment and development of new Strategic Planners and assist with project transitions.
