About the Role

As a Store Manager, you will lead Mattress Firm's vision and company initiatives while achieving sales performance goals across multiple store units. This role is about more than just hitting targets; it is about holding associates accountable for in-store merchandising execution and driving related KPI results. You will ensure teams always put the customer at the center, creating a compelling and engaging environment for the team. As an effective coach, you will develop associates' skills and performance, fostering a collaborative and motivated team dedicated to achieving success.

Day in the Life

Your day involves conducting one-on-one meetings to deeply understand your team's motivations and professional aspirations, developing a comprehensive team "bio book" that evolves with your team. You will manage workforce activities, including staffing schedules and reconciling punches, while analyzing reporting to determine appropriate staffing levels. You will serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical and product knowledge to associates and customers, and analyzing data to identify skill gaps for coaching. Additionally, you will partner with marketing to plan and monitor social media strategies, manage stock inventory levels, and ensure timely opening and closing procedures.
