The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role crafted to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. This program is designed to enhance your career as a future store leader through a self-paced, collaborative training experience spanning 16 weeks. You will engage in both virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop your leadership capabilities.
Your growth is supported by a dedicated team, including your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. As a member of the management team, you will actively engage in Key Learning Experiences, support your store's operations, and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values. You will also engage your colleagues in support of the company's purpose: "helping people on their path to better health."
Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position. Whether and when you are promoted is dependent on a variety of factors, including performance and the availability of openings. Successful candidates must demonstrate a willingness to accept promotion roles within the market they work in, as well as the ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. The role requires a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
