About the Role
As a Merchandise Assistant Manager, you will join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. This role is pivotal in ensuring the store operates smoothly by focusing on merchandising and processing freight. You will help maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment while ensuring professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Your day will involve assisting with all store functions and day-to-day activities, from opening and closing procedures to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the store, including the stockroom and sales floor. You will process corporate directives, manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards, and ensure the sales floor remains sales-effective. Additionally, you will plan and implement monthly sales planners, merchandise clip strips and power panels, and manage the receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
