About the Role
As a Driver at Advance Auto Parts, you are the vital link between our store and our professional customers. You will spend your day picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to pro customers, while also managing returns and cores. This role is more than just transportation; it is a mobile sales opportunity where you promote current sales and loyalty programs by dropping off weekly and monthly flyers.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing the store with valuable insights gathered during your deliveries. Your day involves engaging with walk-in customers to understand their needs, recommending appropriate parts or services, and assisting in upselling to increase transaction value. Additionally, you will help maintain store cleanliness, manage general stocking, and keep accurate inventory records.

Work Environment
While this role is primarily based inside the store, you will occasionally work outside, exposing you to various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. The environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate.
Application
To be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. We look for candidates who can communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus), interpret safety rules and parts catalogs, and use basic math accurately. Prior automotive parts experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
