About the Role
A Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position designed to support the advanced functions of our DIY business. This role serves as a technical expert, combining deep knowledge of store systems with advanced automotive and parts expertise. You will be the go-to resource for DIY customers, capable of advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance. Whether sourcing parts through special orders, FDO, or second sources, you will leverage in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes to ensure customers find the right solutions for their projects.
Day in the Life
Your day will focus on delivering a premium GAS2 selling experience for both in-store and phone interactions. You will manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs while maintaining high standards of customer service and store appearance. As a key holder, you will take on responsibilities including task assignment, safety oversight, and open/close duties. Additionally, you will assist with store inventory processes, including truck put-aways, cycle counts, and back stock management, ensuring the store remains clean and organized from the floors to the parking lot.
Hiring Process
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a friendly communication style and the ability to locate and stock parts efficiently. The selection process evaluates safety knowledge, proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment, and advanced parts lookup skills. A critical component of the role requires expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services. Candidates are expected to possess a working knowledge of automotive systems (including internal engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, and exhaust) and must successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.

Requirements
