About the Role

A Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position designed to support the advanced functions of our DIY business. This role serves as an expert resource for customers, combining deep knowledge of store systems with advanced automotive and parts expertise. You will be responsible for the advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance required for DIY customers, sourcing parts from numerous channels including special orders and second sources.

In this position, you will provide a comprehensive GAS2 selling experience for both in-store and phone interactions. You will manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs while ensuring high standards of customer service and store appearance. As a key holder, you will also oversee task assignments, safety protocols, and open/close duties.

Success Factors

To thrive in this role, you will need friendly communication skills and the ability to locate and stock parts efficiently. Safety knowledge is paramount, as is proficiency in operating inventory systems and store equipment. You will be expected to possess expert-level skills in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services, with ASE P2 certification or an equivalent being highly valued.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience and a proven track record in sales and customer transactions. A valid driver's license is required. While ASE certification is preferred, it is not mandatory.

You must have a working knowledge of automotive systems, including internal engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, and exhaust, along with the diagnostic ability to address these areas. Strong organizational skills and the ability to use Microsoft software (Word, Excel) are essential. You should be comfortable working an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
