About the Role
Based in Biddeford, Maine, this position serves as a pivotal leadership role within the Great Lakes Business Unit, overseeing daily operations for a high-volume retail location. The role is designed to ensure the store runs efficiently, safely, and profitably while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will act as the primary point of contact for the team, fostering a positive culture that aligns with Circle K's commitment to community and service.
As a leader, you will manage a diverse team of full-time employees, including Assistant Managers and Customer Service Representatives. Your day-to-day involves more than just supervision; you will be responsible for recruiting and training enthusiastic staff, developing action plans to meet sales objectives, and maintaining the store's image and organization. From analyzing daily sales data to maximize net profits to ensuring strict adherence to safety and food handling protocols, this role requires a hands-on approach to both people management and operational excellence.
Work Environment & Culture
This position operates in a dynamic retail environment that includes indoor store operations as well as outdoor tasks such as cleaning parking lots and maintaining gas pumps. The role demands flexibility, with shifts available during days, evenings, and overnight hours, often requiring a minimum of 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Team members will work in varying temperatures, including exposure to extreme cold in walk-in coolers or freezers, and must be prepared to perform physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
