Hebrew SeniorLife is dedicated to a philosophy that recognizes the dignity and choice of every patient in all aspects of daily life. Our clinical support teams are integral to creating a culture where every patient encounter is a positive and meaningful experience. We strive to maximize the quality of life for our residents through safe, efficient, and high-quality care, actively supporting culture change initiatives and fostering an environment of teamwork and excellence.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be an active supporter of our mission, serving as a role model and mentor to colleagues while utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and dietitians—to meet the clinical needs of patients and monitor outcomes. In this primary nursing model, you will maintain accountability for a set of assigned patients, ensuring care plans are individualized and reflect patient autonomy.
Your day will involve demonstrating empathy and compassion, articulating the importance of supporting independence, and fostering a culture of accountability. You will coach and mentor staff, including licensed practical nurses and elder assistants, while identifying and responding to safety concerns. The role may also include charge nurse responsibilities, such as providing shift reports, supervising unit operations, delegating assignments, and overseeing assessments and care plans.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved school of nursing with a current Massachusetts RN license in good standing. While a BSN and previous experience are preferred, the most critical qualifications include a deep understanding of our care model, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities with sound judgment and an optimistic demeanor.
Hebrew SeniorLife is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We are an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
