The RN / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) serves as an integral member of the clinical support team at Hebrew SeniorLife, collaborating closely with Registered Nurses and a multidisciplinary group—including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and dietitians—to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is designed to maximize the quality of life for residents by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
More than just clinical care, the LPN is an active supporter of culture change initiatives, serving as a role model and mentor to others. The position requires a deep commitment to the organization's philosophy, recognizing patient dignity and choice in all aspects of daily life. Whether participating in unit activities or managing complex care plans, the LPN strives to make every patient encounter a positive and meaningful experience while ensuring safe and efficient care delivery.
Hebrew SeniorLife fosters an environment where empathy, compassion, and accountability are paramount. The team values the ability to support independence and patient choice, encouraging staff to articulate the importance of these principles in their daily interactions with patients and families. As a proactive and collaborative professional, the LPN is expected to demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and a commitment to excellence, acting as a resource for Patient Care Associates (PCAs) and contributing to shared governance and performance improvement projects.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved school of nursing and hold a current Massachusetts license as an RN or LPN in good standing. Familiarity with the philosophy and model of care at Hebrew SeniorLife is required. Please note that while previous experience is preferred, the primary focus is on a professional, results-oriented demeanor with excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
Hebrew SeniorLife is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring a supportive environment for all team members.
