This combined leadership position serves as the strategic owner for the Kittyhawk ERP instance and its associated bolt-on applications. The role is dedicated to ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and a compliant cyber posture across the entire database and platform ecosystem. By leveraging sophisticated automation, integrated monitoring, and metric analytics, the incumbent will drive low incident rates and operational excellence.
The position sits at the intersection of technical architecture and application support leadership. You will define the strategic vision for the database platforms, aligning technology initiatives with broader business goals and enterprise architecture standards. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise in Oracle R12 and the ability to lead teams through complex change management, patching activities, and production releases.
Your day will involve orchestrating the stability of critical ERP systems. You will lead the resolution of P1 incidents, coordinate complex change management efforts, and manage production outages, often requiring flexibility during working and weekend hours. A significant portion of your time will be spent partnering with IT leadership, application teams, and business stakeholders to provide transparency on risks and service improvements.
You will also drive the technical roadmap for Kittyhawk and its bolt-ons, ensuring the systems remain vital and compliant with standards such as CMMC and SOX. This includes monitoring team KPIs, activating maintenance tools like Flightdeck, and leading technical upgrades to ensure stability and valid support. Collaboration with the Whittle DBA leader is essential to synchronize solutions and maintain a unified strategy.
Candidates for this role must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., as visa sponsorship is not available. The position is remote but may require travel up to 30%. The hiring process will evaluate both technical proficiency in Oracle R12 and leadership capabilities, including the ability to coach teams and manage contractor resources.
