The Integration and Test Engineer serves as a strategic leader within our defense technology division, tasked with synthesizing and defining test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems. This role is pivotal in coordinating assembly-level through system-level integration activities, ensuring that all technical obligations are met for Submarine and Surface Imaging systems.
As a senior professional, you will provide technical leadership as the I&T Lead, collaborating closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads on design and development challenges. You will guide engineering teams with insights drawn from lessons learned in previous projects, driving moderate to substantial improvements in our systems and processes. Your work directly impacts departmental goals, requiring you to manage complex projects with general oversight and communicate effectively across functions to align on operational practices.
Your day involves a blend of high-level strategy and hands-on technical execution. You will act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for System Qualification Work Breakdown Structures, managing schedules and estimates for development programs. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to supporting internal and external design reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR) and leading customer discussions at forums such as the Systems Engineering Working Group and Test Readiness Reviews.
You will develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and validation metrics, executing component-to-system verification and troubleshooting. Beyond the lab, you will contribute to business development by generating technical volumes and approaches for proposals, while also mentoring less tenured engineers. The role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% to support these initiatives.
Candidates for this position must be able to obtain a US Department of Defense Secret Clearance, which requires US citizenship. Applicants who accept a conditional offer will be subject to government security investigations and must meet all eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
