This position serves as a strategic bridge between Medline's sales teams and the healthcare market, providing essential technical and sales presentation support. The primary mission is to secure new business, ensure successful customer integration, and drive the utilization of established products. You will act as a technical consultant, supporting unit sales plans through pre-sales and post-sales activities that align Medline's solutions with key customer initiatives.
In this role, you will lead complex customer engagements from initial presentations to final implementation. Working alongside Acute Care Field Sales Representatives, you will call on potential and existing customers, including small Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), to demonstrate deep product expertise within the Surgical and Perioperative Technology (SPT) division. Your focus will be on expanding Medline-branded items and driving market penetration through product trials, validations, comprehensive program implementations, and new business programs.
Your day involves preparing and presenting technical and financial proposals that showcase how Medline products meet specific customer needs. You will build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, serving as the primary point of contact for all communication before and after product reviews. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to following up on trials, in-services, and product-related questions with both the field team and customers.
You will work closely with the Business Analyst Team to identify product opportunities and maintain full ownership of all data and customer notes throughout the engagement. Success in this role requires tracking and reporting monthly gains to your Division Manager while recommending new practices, processes, and metrics to improve outcomes. You will also represent Medline at key customer conventions, such as AORN and OR Manager events, to expand the concept and development of Medline-branded items.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of quota-based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, and full-cycle sales. Relevant work experience includes 3+ years in the medical supplies industry, specifically within the hospital and/or healthcare sector. Applicants must demonstrate strong presentation skills, excellent organizational and planning abilities, and the capacity to travel at least 75% of the time within and out of state.
Medline is dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels they belong and can grow their career. We strive to achieve this by seeking diversity in all forms, acting inclusively, and ensuring that people have the tools and resources to perform at their best.
