In this role, the Utilities Senior Engineer is responsible for handling maintenance and implementing projects related to the utilities at the New Albany, OH Advanced Assembly and Packing Facility. The Senior Engineer ensures safe, effective, efficient, and cost-appropriate operations and maintenance programs. You will provide leadership for 24/7 field support to identify and resolve utilities and facilities issues, owning the equipment and systems related to site utilities. This position requires a deep technical understanding of boilers, chillers, compressed air, and HVAC systems. You will stay in sync with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure utility systems are compliant and maintain related drawings and P&IDs. Additionally, you will provide coaching and technical expertise to technicians to support infrastructure operations, identify opportunities to improve equipment and process reliability, and minimize the impact of maintenance activities on ongoing operations. You will lead continuous improvement strategies throughout the site and across all shifts, collaborating with key customers, support groups, and Facilities & Engineering peers within the Amgen manufacturing network.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years' experience in engineering or maintenance within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry, 5+ years' experience ensuring compliance in a highly regulated environment, 5+ years' experience in engineering project management, 5+ years' experience in process and/or machine validation, 3+ years' experience in CAPA process management, technical experience with critical and non-critical utilities systems (e.g., HVAC, Compressed Air, Boilers), ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities, and technical writing skills.
