A privately held investment management firm specializing in real estate is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to support its private equity platform during a critical peak reporting and audit period. This contract-to-hire role is designed for a hands-on professional ready to step in quickly and deliver immediate value.
You will serve as a key partner to fund operations, finance leadership, and external auditors, ensuring the accuracy of fund accounting and investor reporting across multiple investment vehicles. The position offers a dynamic environment where you will collaborate cross-functionally with asset management, acquisitions, and legal teams to maintain financial integrity.
In this capacity, you will manage the day-to-day rhythm of fund accounting, from maintaining general ledgers and processing journal entries to handling complex reconciliations for capital activities and investment transactions. Your work will directly impact quarterly and annual financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP, as well as the creation of investor reporting packages, including capital account statements and performance summaries.
You will also coordinate closely with auditors and tax providers during ongoing compliance processes, preparing supporting schedules and responding to inquiries. The role requires tracking capital contributions, distributions, and commitments across various funds and entities, while supporting updates to internal and external fund models and key financial metrics.
By submitting your application, you agree to be included in the Vaco/Highspring talent pool for future opportunities. Submissions are subject to preliminary AI screening to ensure minimum job requirements are met, followed by further assessment by recruiters and hiring managers.
