About the Role
The Sr Energy Supply Analyst - Team Lead serves as the technical advisor and functional owner for Washington Gas's natural gas supply and transportation activities. This role is critical for ensuring the execution of seasonal, monthly, and daily procurement strategies within a regulated utility environment.
You will act as the primary escalation point for operational decisions, collaborating closely with Gas Control to manage supply-demand balances and emergency conditions. The position requires bridging the gap between technical supply concepts and financial, regulatory, and executive audiences. You will lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives, working with IT and Analytics to streamline reports and reduce manual processes. Additionally, you will serve as a technical collaborator for ESG and decarbonization initiatives, evaluating the feasibility and pricing of emerging energy solutions like hydrogen and renewable natural gas.
