This position serves as a vital support partner to classroom teachers, dedicated to fostering an inclusive and productive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The role is designed to bridge the gap between instructional goals and individual student requirements, ensuring that every child receives the personalized attention necessary to thrive.
You will be an integral part of the daily classroom ecosystem, assisting with curriculum delivery, managing student behavior, and providing essential physical and personal care. From helping students transfer to wheelchairs and managing personal hygiene to intervening in crisis situations, your presence ensures safety and continuity of learning. You will also support the teacher by maintaining classroom order, managing inventory, and handling administrative records, allowing the educator to focus on instruction.
This is a campus-based role requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite; remote work is not an option. The work environment typically features a moderate noise level, reflecting the dynamic nature of a school setting. Travel throughout the district is an integral part of the job, as you may be assigned to different locations to support various classrooms and student needs.
