Walmart is the U.S.'s largest private employer, operating with a vision of "everyone included." We aim to create a culture where every associate feels valued for who they are and is rooted in respect for the individual. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, create opportunities for all our associates, customers, and suppliers, and be a Walmart for everyone. Approximately 90% of the U.S. population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart or Sam's Club, and our associates reflect the makeup of all of America, as well as the 18 other countries where we operate.
As a Specialty Equipment (Food Technician), you will join a local and regional team dedicated to maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our retail stores. Operating under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the high standards of our facilities. This role is critical to ensuring our stores run smoothly, from the moment customers walk through the door to the final product on their plates.
In this fast-paced and welcoming environment, you will utilize multiple craft skills—including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling—to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets. You will be responsible for inspecting, operating, or testing food equipment such as combi ovens, deli slicers, fryers, and ice makers, as well as grease and oil systems. Your work ensures that all serviced equipment is safe and functional, directly impacting customer satisfaction and food safety by limiting the risk of cross-contamination.
Beyond repairs, you will play a key role in training Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning, helping to reduce misuse and damage. You will manage work orders and maintenance logs, ensuring accurate documentation of all activities. Whether responding to emergency maintenance calls or adhering to established preventative maintenance schedules, your expertise and dedication will make a real impact on our operations.
To join our team, please submit your application online. The interview process will involve a review of your qualifications and experience. Additional details regarding the interview stages and any role-specific bonuses will be disclosed during the interview process.
