Walmart is the U.S.'s largest private employer, operating with a vision of "everyone included." We aim to create a culture where every associate feels valued for who they are and is rooted in respect for the individual. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, create opportunities for all our associates, customers, and suppliers, and be a Walmart for everyone. Approximately 90% of the U.S. population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart or Sam's Club, and our associates and customers reflect the makeup of all of America, as well as the 18 other countries where we operate.
As a Specialty Equipment (Food Technician), you will join a local and regional team dedicated to maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our retail stores. You will execute routine maintenance tasks on a wide array of commercial food equipment, including combi ovens, deli slicers, fryers, ice makers, and grease/oil systems. Operating under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you will adhere to established maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, and perform repairs to ensure operational efficiency and food safety.
This role is vital to our mission of serving customers with quality food at everyday low prices. By ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and training store associates on proper care, you help reduce misuse, minimize cross-contamination risks, and support the seamless experience of our shoppers. You will utilize multiple craft skills—plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling—to diagnose issues, respond to emergency maintenance calls, and document all repair activities.
To apply, please submit your resume through our career portal. The interview process typically involves a review of your qualifications and experience in relevant trades. Selected candidates will be contacted to discuss the role further and complete necessary background checks. Specific details regarding the interview stages and timeline will be communicated directly by our recruitment team.
