The Charge Entry Specialist plays a vital role in the effective operation of surgical services, bridging the gap between clinical care and financial accuracy. You will prepare, enter, review, and correct all patient charges while collaborating closely with business-related services such as finance, purchasing, and receiving.
In this position, you will interface with vendor representatives, surgeons, physician offices, and operating room staff to ensure the effective coordination and availability of all equipment, items, and instruments for surgical procedures. Your work ensures accurate invoice information and pricing while supporting the broader goals of the Perioperative Business Office. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the Champion Tissue Tracking system and participate in key committees like the Value Analysis Team to support product selection and financial analysis.
