As a Sous Chef, Operations, you will be the culinary leader for your unit, reporting directly to the Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef. Your role is pivotal in designing and preparing meals for airline customers, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation. You will drive the food production effort, working closely with Food Supervisors and a team of up to 40 cooks to deliver consistent, high-volume meals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
This position is more than just cooking; it is about leadership and culture. You will foster a workplace that supports inclusion and belonging, where every job matters and colleagues support one another. You will be responsible for coaching, counseling, and developing your team, ensuring they are trained on proper procedures and safety protocols. Your day will involve managing daily production, optimizing schedules, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations like FDA, USDA, and HACCP. You will also play a key role in employee retention and creating a safe, positive work environment.

Associates degree in the Culinary Arts or a Culinary Arts certification. Previous supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, restaurant or catering environment. In-flight catering experience or experience in a high-volume food service environment. Current or previous labor relations experience. Experience with menu design. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. ServSafe Certified. Bi-lingual in Spanish.
Skills: Servsafe, Microsoft Office, Spanish.
Education: Associates degree in the Culinary Arts preferred.
