This position is based at our Abbott Park, IL location within the GES Global Engineering Services division. As a Sous Chef, you will support all phases of culinary operations for Abbott's food service division, contributing to the overall success of the corporate dining service program for our global headquarters.
You will work alongside a group of talented and driven individuals in a team environment. Your day will involve taking direction from the AP6D senior chef and food service management, with daily exposure to the hands-on creation of menu items, product ordering, and maintaining inventory levels. You will be responsible for ensuring food products and presentation meet the highest quality standards while adhering to safety, sanitation protocols, and health department regulations. The role focuses on serving Abbott's employees and their guests with exceptional customer service, effectively achieving waste minimization, and improving operational efficiencies.
The work schedule is structured around Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional opportunities for weekend work as business dictates. This role offers a chance to do meaningful work in a supportive environment that values your well-being and encourages you to be your true self.
