About the Role

As an Automation Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a proactive technical support specialist for fulfillment operations. This role is designed to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance across a wide array of systems, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices.

You will act as the first level of escalation for site-level Control Systems Engineers, troubleshooting hardware and control software systems both locally and remotely. Your day will involve coordinating work activities, mentoring technical staff, and facilitating failure analysis and incident review processes to implement improvements that prevent future downtime. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will partner with operations leadership, equipment vendors, and parts suppliers to plan new technology installations and serve as the technical consultant for capital projects within the building.

This position requires significant mobility; you must be based in a US location within driving distance of an airport to support frequent travel, which may be up to 70% of your time. You will work closely with Fulfillment Center Operations, Operations Engineering, Start-up teams, and Safety teams to optimize Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems.
