Project LEO is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Infrastructure for Over the Air software delivery Engineering (IOTA) team owns the software delivery to all Kuiper assets, such as satellites and ground stations, and their configurations. The systems we build serve a fundamental role in the successful operation of the satellite constellation; they require mission-critical reliability, uptime, and performance.
As a Sys Dev Engineer, you will support a suite of software applications and services designed to update software on the satellite constellation, both on the ground and in orbit. Your work will directly impact our customers through high-impact production operations and issue triaging. This role requires coordination between multiple Development, Product, and Support teams, offering a breadth of impact across various groups.
You will be a detail-oriented problem solver helping to streamline processes and automate them where applicable. Your day-to-day will involve supporting Over-the-Air (OTA) procedures, troubleshooting and diagnosing production software issues, and developing tools, automation, and monitoring solutions. You will perform software maintenance and configuration, implement fixes for internally developed code, and work to improve the operational excellence and readiness of the systems.
