Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
The ADC AMO team is seeking a motivated engineer focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting AWS Services in ADC regions. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we are looking for talented people who want to help shape the future of cloud technology.
AWS CloudWatch provides customers actionable visibility into the health of their applications and systems. In this role, you will support CloudWatch Monitoring and CloudWatch Logs services in specialized security regions within the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies. You will work in a dynamic environment with software development teams to deliver reliable services to our customers.
You will be part of a technical team passionate about troubleshooting technical issues, automating manual processes, and continuously improving service efficiency. This position is ideal for those motivated to grow their technical skills, automate tasks in distributed systems that operate at scale, and find satisfaction in performance engineering and service scaling. You will collaborate with skilled engineers and technical leaders to design, develop, and deploy highly scalable platforms.
On a typical day, you might investigate the root cause of a customer issue impacting CloudWatch service visibility, analyze metric trends to identify performance degradation, or collaborate with the team on automation opportunities for common operational tasks. You will participate in on-call rotations, responding to service alerts and customer issues, and dive deep into logs and metrics to understand system behavior and dependencies. You will also discuss and implement improvements to the team's operational processes while working with AWS engineers to identify process automation opportunities.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
