We foster stability and resiliency, providing a vital safety net for artists over their lifespan. Through offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, we serve the diverse and dynamic community of musicians, actors, dancers, stage managers, designers, and crew members working in film, theatre, television, music, opera, radio, and dance.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive range of programs including social services, emergency financial assistance, health care and insurance counseling, housing support, and secondary employment and training services. We celebrate our differences and strive to cultivate an environment of mutual respect, with a core commitment to embrace diversity, seek equity, inclusion, and dignity for all.
We are seeking a clinically oriented Social Work Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative leadership to a team dedicated to serving clients living with HIV and those facing significant medical concerns. This role is designed for a professional interested in working with people addressing a range of significant and often life-changing health issues within the entertainment community.
In this position, you will ensure the delivery of clinical and intensive case management, groups, and workshops to our HIV Initiative and Disabilities clients, their families, and significant others. You will manage a team by assigning cases, providing supervision, and coordinating professional development. Your day-to-day work involves providing direct client services to address myriad concerns, including health issues, financial needs, mental health challenges, and housing instability. Using a clinical case model, you will develop comprehensive plans to address presenting concerns and collaborate with community resources, conducting home and hospital visits when necessary.
Beyond direct service and supervision, you will play a key role in program and resource development. You will identify needs and create groups or workshops that provide support and education to this population. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with internal programs, entertainment unions, employers, and community partners to address the unique needs of the entertainment community. You will also participate in evaluating emergency grant applications for the agency's emergency financial program.
To apply, please submit your application online at www.entertainmentcommunity.org/careers. A complete application must include a resume, cover letter, and salary expectations.
