The Libraries operate as a team of user-focused subject specialist librarians who serve as liaisons to academic departments. This role sits within the Research & Instruction Services unit, contributing to the Libraries' general education and first-year composition efforts as a member of the Instruction Team. The position is a twelve-month tenure-track role that requires professional and scholarly activity alongside service on library, university, and professional committees.

We seek a creative, enthusiastic, and mission-oriented individual to join as a Research & Instruction Services Librarian for the Social Sciences. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Teaching, Learning, and Academic Engagement, you will serve as a liaison to one or more academic departments within the College of Liberal Arts. Your work will focus on conducting information literacy instruction, providing reference and research assistance, and managing collections for social science disciplines.
This role is designed to make a life-changing impact through research, instruction, and outreach. You will develop and teach outcome-based, subject-specific instruction sessions, create online instructional materials, and provide innovative reference services both virtually and in-person. The position offers a culture of excellence where collaboration and innovation are leveraged to shape the future of higher education.
