About the Role
The Shift Lead serves as the operational backbone of the store, directing daily activities and ensuring seamless execution of store procedures in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers. This role is critical for maintaining a safe, secure, and high-quality environment for both team members and customers. You will act as the primary point of contact for the team during your assigned shifts, overseeing everything from opening and closing protocols to inventory management and customer service excellence.
In this position, you will not only manage the day-to-day flow of the store but also uphold strict standards for health, safety, and sanitation. Whether handling cash operations, resolving customer complaints, or managing emergency procedures, your actions directly impact the store's reputation and operational success. You will collaborate closely with the management team to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, stepping in to lead when necessary while supporting the broader goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDirect daily activities of store team members in the absence of management
- check_circleResolve customer complaints and document follow-up steps
- check_circleComplete electronic store reports and report results to the Store Manager
- check_circleProtect company property, funds, and merchandise through loss prevention procedures
- check_circleEscalate employee issues such as disciplinary actions and cash discrepancies
- check_circleServe as first contact for media and regulatory visitors
- check_circleConduct front-end administrative procedures including cash counting and till preparation
- check_circleOpen and close the store according to established procedures
- check_circleEnsure store compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- check_circleRespond promptly to vendors and receive deliveries
- check_circleHandle emergency management procedures including evacuations
- check_circleStock inventory across all departments including produce, meat, and dairy
Requirements
