As a Shift Lead at Walgreens, you serve as the vital link between management and the team, stepping in to lead the store in the absence of store management. Your mission is to ensure the business day runs smoothly by opening and closing the store, managing all required system startups, and handling cash operations with precision. You are responsible for creating a distinctive and delightful customer experience, modeling best practices in interpersonal habits like greeting, eye contact, and courtesy, and ensuring every customer interaction is positive.
In this role, you will act as a liaison, communicating assigned tasks to team members and reporting on disciplinary issues or customer complaints. You will also assist in coaching team members through the warehouse and vendor ordering process, ensuring accurate inventory counts, proper product placement, and compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Your day involves maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly store environment, assisting with exterior and interior maintenance, and ensuring the accuracy of pricing and signage.
